Hydrogen-Oxygen inhalation for Treatment of Covid -19 edited by Prof. Xu KeCheng

The paper and e-book of the Chinese anti-epidemic results, “Hydrogen and Oxygen Inhalation Therapy for COVID-19”, edited by Professor Xu Kecheng and reviewed by Academician Zhong Nanshan, will be officially released in early November.

During the epidemic, Chinese medical staff, based on the actual situation in Hubei, Beijing and other places, summed up a diagnosis and treatment plan with Chinese characteristics to provide more reference for other countries and regions to fight the “epidemic”.

Among them, the book “Hydrogen and Oxygen Inhalation for COVID-19” can be described as the fruit of China’s anti-epidemic process. This book focuses on the inhalation of 3 to 6 liters of hydrogen and oxygen per minute as adjuvant therapy for Covid-19.

This is a real-world research monograph combining theory and practical examples. From the perspective of medical treatment, the book condenses the experience of doctors in various regions of China in exploring the application of hydrogen and oxygen assisted treatment for patients with mild, moderate, severe, and critically ill baseline levels, and has significant clinical application significance for the world’s anti-epidemic.

Professor Kecheng Xu also authored the book “Hydrogen Cancer Control”.

Professor Kecheng Xu

The editor-in-chief of this book, Professor Xu Kecheng, is the chairman of the International Society of Cryotherapy and the winner of the Chinese Bethune Medal of Medicine. In recent years, he has devoted himself to researching hydrogen and oxygen medicine, especially the control effect of hydrogen and oxygen on cancer.

Under the circumstance of the COVID-19 pandemic, out of the mission and the doctor’s vocation to save people, Professor Xu quickly digested the hospital pathology data collected by the front-line medical research team of Ruomei, combined with past theory and practice, and compiled this “Hydrogen-Oxygen Inhalation for Treatment of COVID-19” English science monograph. Published by World Scientific Publisher at the fastest speed.

China’s anti-epidemic experience-hydrogen and oxygen inhalation therapy

This book summarizes China’s valuable anti-epidemic experience-hydrogen and oxygen inhalation therapy. The therapy has also been written into the seventh and eighth editions of the diagnosis and treatment plan for new coronary pneumonia and the third edition of the diagnosis and treatment plan for severe and critical cases by the National Health Commission.

As at the beginning of the epidemic, Academician Zhong Nanshan judged: Based on COVID-19, lung lesions and the inflammatory storm and oxidative stress triggered by the virus promote each other. A large number of studies have confirmed that the therapeutic effects of hydrogen on diseases mainly lie in its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, signal regulation and cytoprotective effects.

Pathologically, COVID-19 is mainly manifested as inflammation and exudation in the lower airways, including bronchi and alveoli. This suggests that the application of hydrogen and oxygen inhalation to treat this disease is theoretically reasonable.

In practice, it has verified the professional and accurate analysis of Academician Zhong’s Nan Shan.
From March to May 2020, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University cooperated with 11 hospitals in Shanghai, Hubei, Guangdong, Heilongjiang and other provinces and cities. According to the ethical review and approval of each hospital in the past six months, it will collect laboratory data and data from all hospitals. During the pathological process, a real-world investigation on the effectiveness of hydrogen and oxygen inhalation in the treatment of COVID-19 pneumonia was carried out, and the results confirmed this simple and easy method.

Almost all patients inhaled 3-6 liters of hydrogen-oxygen gas mixture for a few hours, and felt smooth breathing, reduced coughing, and improved shortness of breath. After 1-2 days, chest pain and chest tightness were relieved, indicators tended to improve, and the average number of hospitalization days was significantly lower than that of none.

Therefore, the book proposes that symptomatic treatment and maintenance of vital functions, improvement of symptoms, especially relief of dyspnea and correction of hypoxemia, become the primary task of clinical treatment. It is of great significance to adopt simple, effective and safe methods to maintain the body’s systemic disease resistance.

The e-version will be released in early November, and the paper version will be released simultaneously.

This book “Hydrogen and Oxygen Inhalation Therapy for COVID-19”, which has gathered the hard work of many well-known domestic experts and scholars, will hold a grand online press conference in early November 2020 (with new book purchase method at the end of the article).

Zhong Nanshan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, solemnly recommends this book.
